The leaves are slowly turning brown, the weather is getting a smidge colder, and my seasonal depression is kindly waving at me. That could only mean one thing, fall is just around the corner. FUCK! I mean don’t get me wrong, I love fall. It’s probably my second favorite season, second to summer of course. While I’m not ready to say goodbye to the beautiful weather, fall allows for more creative ways to layering clothing, and for beautiful and daring colors and patterns to shine. Below are a few things that I am falling for this fall.. (Get it? Hahaha Nvm)
Rugby T-Shirts. This is something that I see as a trend for men during the fall, but this year I actually want to try styling them for myself. Luckily, you can easily find these second hand on E-bay, but thrifting is also always an option. I recently received a a navy blue and white striped one from my boyfriend. Because rugby shirts came in so many different colors it allows for you to be able to add plenty of color to an outfit.
Vintage Sweater Vests. I think that Sweater vests are not only a perfect layering piece for the fall. They are also a fantastic statement piece. You can be super classy and look like a stylish English grandfather, or you can get a super tacky vest and look like a whacky art teacher. I have linked a very charming sweater vest that I think is just precious and perfect for the fall. As always check your local thrift stores,
you will find dozens of darling sweater vests.Â
Florals aren’t just for spring you know! I am obsessed with the idea of bringing florals out for the fall, because why do they have to be a seasonal thing? I found this amazing vintage Prada skirt with some sick floral detailing. Paired with some loafers? Chef’s kiss.
Anything and Everything Knitted and Crocheted. Nothing says Fall like a big Cozy Knitted Sweater, but I have also been eyeing this really really fun vintage crochet Anna Sui skirt,
Loafers and Mary Janes! Again these are more year-round items. But a good nice pair of loafers for the fall? You can’t go wrong! It feels like every year I am always eyeing the same pair of Burberry Mary Janes, but maybe this is the fall that I will actually purchase them?? But I have also recently have fallen for these Sam Edelman ballet flats.
